This will be a series where I do a post on each team with where the jersey inspiration came from, what they did, what they could have done better, and how it fits eventually with the full set of pants, socks, helmet, gloves, etc… Detroit Red Wings (1998): Inspired by the jerseys worn when the Red Wings won their ninth Stanley Cup Championship and the Centennial Classic jerseys, this design pairs a white base with gray striping. Anaheim Ducks – Jersey porn right here! Los Angeles Kings – Colors are so gorgeous. Well done. Buffalo Sabres – Colors are on point. If they did the goat head as the main logo, it would be a top 10 jersey of all time IMO. Get rid of “Buffalo” and the gray stripe on the bottom too. Marián Hossa (born 12 January 1979) is a Slovak former professional ice hockey right winger. Hossa was drafted by the Ottawa Senators in the first round, 12th overall, of the 1997 NHL Entry Draft. Brendan Frederick Shanahan (born January 23, 1969) is a Canadian professional ice hockey executive and former player who currently serves as the president and alternate governor for the Toronto Maple Leafs, having previously served as the director of player safety for the National Hockey League (NHL). Luc Jean-Marie Robitaille (born February 17, 1966) is a Canadian–American professional ice hockey executive and former player. He currently serves as president of the Los Angeles Kings of the National Hockey League (NHL).
